ABC News reported today that the 1926 Spanish-style house went on the market on Friday for a cool $4.25 million.

"This is a very special celebrity-owned home," according to a description on MLS, the multiple listing service that brokers and customers rely on for a first look at available properties.

The house boasts 4 bedrooms, 3 1/2 bathrooms an a separate guest quarter and office. One bedroom was converted into the "ultimate closet."

Hilton's publicist, Elliot Mintz, confirmed the house was put up for sale but declined to comment further.

The 26-year-old hotel heiress and reality TV star walked out of jail a month ago after a three-week stay in which she was briefly released to home confinement and then sent back screaming to a lockup. She had been sentenced to 45 days for a probation violation.

A throng of reporters and paparazzi staked out the home above Sunset Boulevard last month, capturing her move from jail to home and back. The onslaught caused some residents to circulate a letter advising neighbors to call police about the noise and traffic.

A call to the listing agent, Mauricio Umansky, was not immediately returned.

Party princess Paris Hilton is $60 million out of pocket after her billionaire grandfather - appalled by her jail term for drink-driving offences - reportedly axed her inheritance.

Family patriarch Barron Hilton was already embarrassed by his granddaughter's wild behaviour - notably when her home sex video was leaked on the internet.

But the 79-year-old considered her 23-day sentence last month the last straw, a Hilton biographer says.

"He was, and is, extremely embarrassed by how the Hilton name has been sullied by Paris," says Jerry Oppenheimer, who wrote a biography of the clan called House Of Hilton.

"He now doesn't want to leave unearned wealth to his family."

Hilton senior, the only member of the family left with a sizeable stake in the huge hotel chain, has let it be known that he intends to donate to charity the $2.4bn he will gain from this month's sale of the company to private equity firm Blackstone.

The money will go to the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation, the charity set up in the name of the founder of the family business.

Hotel heiress and ex-con Paris Hilton is on her way to Canada.

Sources told canada.com that producers are about to announce they have cast Hilton in Repo! The Genetic Opera, a rock opera/horror film that begins a six-week shoot in Toronto on Sept. 10.

The movie, based on a successful theatrical production by Terrence Zdunich and Darren Smith, is about an organ failure epidemic in 2056 that forces people to purchase genetically perfect ones from Geneco, a biotech company committed to collecting regular payments.

“The idea is that everybody is buying up organs, and they cannot afford to pay for these organs,” director Darren Lynn Bousman recently told MTV. “Thus, legalized organ repo-men come into the picture. Murder becomes sanctioned by law. So, if you buy a heart and can't afford it, someone can burst through the door and take your heart out… and they don’t get in trouble for it."

Bousman, who made the last two Saw films and the upcoming Saw IV in Toronto, will direct Repo!, in which the dialogue is completely sung.

At a fundraising event in Hollywood on Tuesday night, Hilton declined to reveal specifics but admitted she is in rehearsals for a “very cool and unique project.” She told E! Online: “”We’re just in the studio. We’re doing dance and singing.”

Paul Sorvino will play Geneco owner Rottismo Largo and Alexa Vega (Spy Kids) has been cast as Shilo, the daughter of repo man Nathan. Tobin Bell, who plays the evil Jigsaw in the Saw movies, also stars.

Sources claim Hilton will play Heather Sweet, the daughter of Largo.

Hilton, who starred in the 2005 remake of House of Wax, released her first album last summer. The 26-year-old finished a 23-day jail sentence on June 26 for driving on a suspended license and violating the terms of her DUI probation.

Just days after Repo! The Genetic Opera wraps up filming in Toronto, cameras will roll in the city for The Repossession Mambo starring Jude Law and Forest Whitaker. The sci-fi feature follows an organ repo man who must go on the run when he is unable to make the payments for his new heart.

Paris Hilton has bought a new Chihuahua dog to add to her ever-increasing pet collection.

The hotel heiress purchased a young male mutt from Los Angeles' Pets of Bel Air store on Wednesday afternoon.

An employee told People magazine: "Paris was so sweet. She instantly fell in love with the puppy, she was all smiles and carried him out of the store in her arms."

Paris was not the only star to visit the pet store yesterday. Limp Bizkit singer Fred Durst, accompanied by his son, also bought a Chihuahua.

Paris' former friend Britney Spears recently paid $3,000 for a Yorkshire Terrier puppy, she has named London, from the same store.

The 26-year-old hotel heiress also recently bought a Yorkshire Terrier puppy which she has named Cinderella.

Paris is famed for her menagerie of pets, which includes her Chihuahua Tinkerbell, a kinkajou named Baby Luv, a ferret, a goat and a cockatoo.

The night before buying her new puppy, Paris was partying at Guy's Karaoke bar with Mischa Barton's ex-boyfriend Cisco Adler.

A source said: "They were all over each other, making-out. Paris even gave Cisco a sexy lap dance."

Later, the socialite took to the stage where she sang Bette Davis Eyes before launching into her own hit single Stars are Blind.

Paris Hilton insists that despite her partying and beach life over the part few weeks, she hasn’t forgotten her pledge to do more for charity.

Paris claimed to have turned over a new leaf on leaving jail last month and only wanted to use her fame to help others from then on. While her activities - in Hawaii and Malibu - over the last few weeks seem contrary to that, she’s also getting involved with good causes at the same time.

The heiress attended the 4th annual “Night By the Ocean” gala auction in aid of the “Life Rolls On” spinal injuries charity - and as well as appearing at the event, she bid (and won) a $17,500 surfing lesson with the charity’s founder, former pro-surfer Jesse Billauer.

Speaking to People magazine at the event, she added that she’s been busy elsewhere too: “I was just at the Los Angeles Children’s Hospital visiting all of the kids and premature babies in the cancer ward.”

“I [also] met with philanthropists and they’re doing a summit with five major charities and we’ll be doing stuff all over the world. I’m excited.”

In retrospect, Sarah Silverman much more comfortable making fun of people behind their backs:

The comic, whose MTV Movie Awards commentary sent a humiliated Paris Hilton into the big house with the harsh laughter of her peers still ringing in her ears, thinks maybe her Hilton jokes were too much.

Silverman says she's felt bad since cameras caught Hilton squirming in her seat as Silverman made off-color jokes about her future jail experiences.

"I thought, 'She's got to know there's going to be a joke about her,' so I went for it. But then I looked down and saw a man in her face with a camera. I was there to be funny, and I was, but that doesn't mean I can't feel bad about it," Silverman says via the World Entertainment News Network.

Fortunately for Silverman, the New, Spiritually in Tune Hilton{trade} has a forgiving nature, as well as a reserved booth at Hyde.

"She's a funny comedienne, and, hopefully, she won't be as mean the next time she sees me," Hilton says.

Paris Hilton's new beau might have some explaining to do after it was revealed he had crudely made fun of the party princess on his MySpace web page.

Australian surfer Tyler Atkins, the 21-year-old T-shirt designer this week revealed as the new boy-toy in Hilton's life, posted a crude photo of himself dressed up as the socialite.

In the photo Atkins had donned a blonde wig, diamante tiara, oversized sunglasses and push-up bra while he kissed a Louis Vuitton designer purse and reclined with a copy of Hilton's book, Confessions of an Heiress.

A friend of the surfer yesterday said the pair have been romantically involved on-and-off since late last year after meeting in Los Angeles.

"He slept with her last year after they met at a party," the friend, who did not want to be named, said.

Hilton is understood to be the "famous chick" Atkins bragged about having a "full-on threesome" with last year during a profanity-peppered interview with amateur Australian internet program The Web Show last month, which was aired on YouTube.

PARTY girl Paris Hilton appears to have fallen for the larrikin charms of Australian fashionista Tyler Atkins - a one-time car thief and confessed drug user.

The surf-loving Atkins, 21, was yesterday revealed as the new mystery man in Hilton's life, with the duo being inseparable over the past few days.

Atkins has been faithfully trailing Hilton, 27, on the party scene in Los Angeles since the pair was spotted canoodling at a celebrity jewellery event held at a private Malibu estate on Saturday.

Atkins, who is the CEO of Queensland T-shirt and accessories label Rockstars and Angels, had a strikingly different upbringing to the pampered jet-setting adolescence of the platinum heiress.

He spent his youth in the sleepy town of Crescent Head on the NSW mid-North Coast and, in a YouTube interview last month, he revealed he was kicked out of home when he was 13 and forced to fend for himself.

"When I was real young, I was stealing cars," Atkins, who also represents Australian jewellery line KRS and shoe label Love Thy Neighbour in the US, said.

"It was pretty heavy. I was a little ratbag."

Struggling to make ends meet, Atkins - who is friends with pin-up girl Emily Scott and Bra Boys gang member Koby Abberton and his model girlfriend Tahyna Tozzi - became a tuna fisherman before moving to the US on a whim several years ago.

During the online interview, Atkins revealed his drug-fuelled partying antics with Hollywood celebrities and his ambition to make a fortune in LA.

"I'm just trying to make money to get a Range Rover - Iwant a Range Rover," he said.

Paris Hilton is returning to the studio to record her second album - just a month after she was dropped by Warner Bros.

Hilton spent three years recording her self-titled debut album Paris, which hit stores last summer under Warner Bros and the reality TV star's own label Heiress Records.

Last month, Warner announced it had no plans to release another album by Hilton after poor sales of Paris.

After her debut single Stars Are Blind reached no. 18 on the US Billboard charts, her second single Nothing in This World barely registered on the charts, reaching No. 89 on the Billboard Hot 100 Pop Charts.

Is Paris Hilton a glutton for punishment? A year after trying — and failing — to set the world on fire as a pop singer and less than a month after serving a 23-day jail sentence for probation violations, the socialite-heiress announced that she has begun laying tracks for a new album with hit-making hip-hop producer Scott Storch.

"I've been working on it with Scott for a few weeks," she told E! Online late Monday.

Contrary to earlier reports, Hilton has not been dropped by her record label, Warner Bros., distributor of her boutique imprint, Heiress Records, a spokesperson confirmed.

HER sunglasses might have taken on the proportions of a scuba mask, but Paris Hilton appears to have developed a new passion for surfing.

The 26-year-old's coach, Australian big wave champion Koby Abberton, was on hand to dispense some much-needed direction as Hilton took to the waves at Malibu Beach yesterday.

With Abberton's girlfriend, buxom model Tahyna Tozzi, hovering close by, Hilton looked to be mastering the basics of learning to paddle out.

But her devotion to the sport didn't stop her flaunting her trademark fashion as Paris paraded in a skimpy polka-dot bikini.

The heiress' unlikely friendship with Abberton began while she was holidaying in Sydney earlier this year.

The pair were seated next to one another while they judged a bikini competition at Bondi Icebergs in January, and have remained in touch ever since.

Yesterday's surfing lesson provided something of a change of pace for Hilton, who was released from the Century Regional Detention Facility in Los Angeles three weeks ago.

She had served a total of 24 days in jail for a violating her probation on a driving ban – an experience she described as "traumatic" but outlook-changing.

"It gave me a time-out in life to really find out what's important and what I want to do, figuring out who I am... even though it was really hard, I took that time just to get to know myself," she said.

Since then, Hilton has pledged to become a role model for her young fans and to undertake more charity work.

She has been photographed with Abberton and Tozzi on a number of occasions since the couple arrived in the US several weeks ago. The trio were guests at actress Lindsay Lohan's Fourth of July party earlier this month.

Tozzi's sister, fellow model Cheyenne, was also among the attendees. She has been linked with actress Mischa Barton's ex-boyfriend, oil heir Brandon Davis.

Paris Hilton was sentenced to 45 days in jail after she was convicted of driving with a suspended license following a DUI case. The socialite was released from jail after only serving three day because of alleged mental health problems.
The 26-year-old was called back to court and the judge sent her back jail to complete her sentence. Baca was held in contempt of court for releasing Hilton and was accused of giving special treatment to Hilton.
